Parade Route:  Begins at the Edgemere VFD, ends just past the fire station.

Clubs, groups, organizations, businesses, schools, bands, political candidates, cars, fire equipment, police, motorcycles, farm equipment, performers, animals, and more are invited to build a float, ride, dance, march, or walk in the parade.

It's free to enter into the parade, but donations are accepted!

You must agree to the Liability Release in order to participate in the parade. 

If we do not have a Liability Release for your organization, you will not be able to participate in the parade.

Liability Release:		1. Voluntary Participation. I, the undersigned, acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in the North Point-Edgemere Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. parade taking place on July 25, 2025 (the “Parade”). I understand that participation in the Parade may involve walking, riding on a float or vehicle, playing a musical instrument, carrying heavy items, dancing, singing, interacting with crowds, exposure to varying road and weather conditions, and other potentially hazardous conditions. 2. Assumption of Risk. I understand and acknowledge that participating in the Parade involves certain risks, hazards, and conditions that can arise in a variety of unforeseeable and foreseeable circumstances, which may include, but are not limited to the following: The presence and use of horses and other animals, motor vehicles, golf carts, machinery, firearms, floats, fireworks, projectiles, aerial demonstrations, baton twirling, wind, rain, hail, other forces of nature, and other threats of physical harm, such as slipping, falling, heat stroke, fainting, exhaustion or other more serious complications resulting in physical injury, illness, death and property damage. I further acknowledge that these risks may arise not only from my own actions, but also from the actions or negligence of others, and that these risks may include dangerous conditions on public or private streets, sidewalks, or staging areas, as well as risks associated with the use or malfunction of equipment or floats. I expressly, voluntarily, and knowingly assume all such risks. 3. Release and Waiver. In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Parade, I for myself, my heirs, successors, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, and on behalf of my organization’s participants, hereby forever release, waive, discharge, covenant not to sue and hold harmless the North Point-Edgemere Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., The Wells McComas VFW Post 2678, The Baltimore County Edgemere Senior Center, and each of their respective officers, members, employees, agents, insurers, attorneys, volunteers, sponsors, donors, and affiliated entities (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all injuries, liabilities, actions, damages, costs, or expenses arising out of or in connection with my participation in the Parade, including those arising from the negligence of the Released Parties. This release expressly includes, without limitation, any claims for theft, damage to any vehicle or personal property, or other parade-related property used, bought, or operated in connection with the Parade, regardless of cause. 4. Compliance with Laws and Rules: I agree to follow all state and local laws, safety rules, and directives issued by the Parade organizers. I acknowledge that Parade officials may remove me from the event for failure to comply with laws, rules, or directives or for any conduct that poses a risk to myself or others in the sole judgment of the North Point-Edgemere Volunteer Fire Department. 5. Full Acceptance of Liability for Members of My Organization. If signing on behalf of a participating organization, I expressly represent that I am fully authorized to do so and, by my signature, voluntarily assume full responsibility, risk and liability for the safety and conduct of all members of my organization. I, on behalf of all organization participants, knowingly and expressly assume accept all risks identified in Paragraph 2, as well as any other risks, foreseen and unforeseen, associated with participation in the Parade. I further acknowledge and agree that this Parade Participation Agreement and Release (“Release”) is intended to be binding upon all organization members and shall be interpreted as broadly as necessary to fully and effectively release and discharge the Parade organizers and all other Released Parties from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to my organization’s participation. 6. Governing Law. I agree that this release shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland. Sole venue and jurisdiction for disputes shall be the Circuit Court of Maryland for Baltimore County or the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland located in Baltimore City. I understand and agree to waive my right to a jury trial and agree that any dispute shall be decided solely by a judge after the parties attempt to resolve their dispute through mediation. 7. List of Participants from my Organization. Below is a list of all persons participating in the parade from my organization. I acknowledge that I have shared with them the contents of this Release, they have agreed to abide by all state and local laws and policies and directions from the parade organizers, and that I take full responsibility for their behavior, including any injuries, death, or property damage incurred as a result of their participation in the parade. ACKNOWLEDGMENT I acknowledge that I have carefully read this Release in its entirety, and I fully understand and agree to its contents, meaning and legal effect. By checking this box, I acknowledge that I am agreeing to the Parade Participation Agreement and Release freely and voluntarily, and understand the assumption of risk involved. I understand that me and my organization’s participation in the Parade is expressly conditioned upon my execution below.
